Upgrade for Terminal Services users

The upgrade using NetNote Server is the fastest method if you have installed NetNote on several computers. The main advantage is that you don't need to upgrade every PC individually: NetNote Server will send the upgrade orders to the PC you choose.

However this procedure will NOT work for limited user accounts. For such accounts, you need to upgrade manually using an administrator account.

Terminal Services users usually install NetNote Client only once. You then need to upgrade only one user (administrator rights required) after having paused the other ones.

  1. Download the upgrade from the download page.

  2. Open the NetNote Server main window

  3. Select all users in the Connected users list EXCEPT one with administrator rights.

  4. Press the Stop / Pause button and select 5 minutes pause

  5. Select the remaining user (the one with administrator rights) and continue the previous procedure at step 4 (press the upgrade button)

By using this special procedure, you'll stop all the NetNote one you network so you can upgrade the NetNote exe file without having warning about replacing a used file.
